Why was rapper 21 Savage arrested?

Rapper 21 Savage (She’yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph), was arrested by The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Despite, the rapper being nominated for 2 Grammy’s, rather than getting suited for the show.  The rapper is still in custody where he is on 23 hours lock down a day. With no television and minimal contact to the outside world.

21 Savage has been living in the U.S. Atlanta since 2005, after an arriving there at the age of 13.

He was arrested Sunday last weekend by ICE agent who threatened deportation on him.  This week both 21 Savage and his mother have confirmed that the rapper is British born.

In 2017, the rapper filed for a special nonimmigrant U Visa.  Which is set aside for victims of crimes who have suffered substantial mental or physical abuse and cooperated with police investigations while living in the US. His application may be related to when he was shot six times on his 21st birthday in 2013.

Black Lives Matter is filing an online petition to free 21 Savage, with over 400,080 signatures so far, with the target of 500,000.
